What is DAX?
The DAX (Deutscher Aktienindex) is the primary stock market index of Germany, comprising the 40 most successful and valuable companies listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.
DAX performance and data
DAX is a capitalization-weighted index, meaning the value of each component company is reflected in its index weighting. The index is calculated once a day, after the closing bell on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. As of May 24, 2023, the DAX closed at 11555.062.
